A vessel with cargo of fertilizers was grounded near Greek islands and received partial damage of underwater hull parts and breach of engine because of an attempt to bring the vessel afloat. The shipowner has announced general average. Insurance company of cargo owner as a security in general average has handed out a guarantee in amount of 250 000 Eur. The shipowner has addressed the insurer with demand for payment with addition of dispatch report note, but insurer has refused to pay.
